A picture a day
This post was inspired by Spiderwomanknits
I think a picture a day is just what I need to get me posting again.
This picture is a glimpse of our evenings three or four nights a week. Watching my oldest do the thing he loves most, swimming("like a hammerhead shark, mama").

Around the house
So many snowy and cold, windy days have meant lots of inside time lately. Some ways we've been keeping busy.
Lots of puzzles
And piggybacks
Making many pieces of art
And reading lots of books.
These cold dark winter days can seem quite long in our little house. But soon Spring we will come and we will all go our own ways. To gardens and favorite climbing trees and new bikes that are waiting to be ridden. So I think I'll cuddle them all a little closer and read a few more books and enjoy these cold and cozy days for a bit longer.

The House...Finally
So here are some pictures of our new space, at least the downstairs half. It's a bit messy but you know..life:)
View of the front of the house from across the street
The living room looking toward the front yard
The living room looking toward the back of the house, that's the sun room door at the end
The dining room, that window looks out at our drive way and to the left leads to the kitchen
The dining room looking out to the front yard
The kitchen looking to the living room, that "window" to the left of the stove looks out to the sun room
The kitchen looking toward the door that goes out to our drive way
The sun room,it has a door that goes right out into the back yard
My view out the kitchen window over the sink
Our back yard
So that was a pretty good peek I think.

Our "Down Bathroom"
So this is our "down bathroom" right now.
I am not surprised, per se, just kind of waiting for the other shoe to drop. It was a simple repair at first, just a new wax ring on the toilet base, but it may be mushrooming into something... well... more than expected. We'll just have to wait and see what comes out. One of the perils of homeownership. Kind of minor, to be honest, as these things go.
While I dealt with this, the kids and Momma enjoyed one of the joys of homeownership. They convinced me to join after I realized I should just let the plumber handle it. Frisbee was a really nice break.

The Lake
Yesterday we took a break from from unpacking and housework and headed off to Lake Ontario. Ari and Elsu battled the waves, found treasures and went for a long explore down the beach with my mom.Beren dipped his toes in and tried to eat as many rocks as he could find. A perfectly lovely afternoon...I foresee many more in our future.
...House pictures coming soon
